Datsun Redi-Go
The Datsun redi-Go is a city car produced by Datsun, a brand from Nissan, initially intended for the Indian market. A concept vehicle was unveiled at 2014 Auto Expo and the production model was unveiled on 14 April 2016. The redi-Go is targeted at a younger market. Characteristics The redi-Go uses the CMF-A platform as the Renault Kwid, which was launched earlier, with the same 0.8-litre '' BR08'' three-cylinder petrol engine with a power output and of torque, coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. Datsun
Datsun (, ) was an automobile brand owned by Nissan. Datsun's original production run began in 1931. From 1958 to 1986, only vehicles exported by Nissan were identified as Datsun. Nissan phased out the Datsun brand in March 1986, but relaunched it in June 2013 as the brand for low-cost vehicles manufactured for emerging markets. Nissan considered phasing out the Datsun brand for a second time in 2019 and 2020, eventually discontinuing the struggling brand in April 2022. In 1931, DAT Motorcar Co. chose to name its new small car "Datson", a name which indicated the new car's smaller size when compared to the DAT's larger vehicle already in production. The Latin New Car Assessment Programme (Latin NCAP) is an automobile safety assessment programme for Latin America and the Caribbean. Founded in 2010, it offers independent information to consumers about the safety levels of new cars in the market. Latin NCAP tests are based in international renown methodologies, with vehicles awarded with a safety rating between 0 and 5 stars, indicating the protection the cars offer to adult and child occupants. The programme started as a joint initiative and in 2014 it was established as an association under a legal entity framework. The Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP) is a project of the Towards Zero Foundation, a UK-registered charity. The programme aims to promote the sale of safer cars in developing markets by empowering consumers with objective information about the safety of vehicles. The Auto Expo is a biennial automotive show held in Greater Noida, NCR, India. Till 2012, the Auto Expo was organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi which combined both vehicles and components. They are often exhibited at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not be mass-produced.
