''Darling of Mine'' (Swedish: ''Älskling på vågen'') is a 1955 Swedish comedy film directed by Schamyl Bauman and starring Sickan Carlsson, Karl-Arne Holmsten and Erik Berglund.Qvist & Von Bagh p.44 It was shot at the Centrumateljéerna Studios in Stockholm. The film's sets were designed by the art director Arthur Spjuth. Synopsis Swedish American Hollywood film star Jack Harris arrives in his Swedish homeland for the first time for a visit. Journalist Ingrid Billberg is determined to find out information from him. Schamyl Bauman
Magnus Schamyl Bauman (4 December 1893 – 28 February 1966) was a Swedish film director (in 1931-57). Born in Vimmerby, Småland. First studied law and modern languages at Uppsala University. In 1917 he began to work with translating text lines for international silent films (to Swedish), which he did successful throughout the 1920s. In this way he watched many different films by some of the best silent film directors in the world which started an interest in filmmaking and in the arts of film. In 1929-30 he started the film company Europafilm with Gustaf Scheutz where he made some of his early films as a director. Barbro Hiort Af Ornäs
Barbro Hiort af Ornäs (28 August 1921 – 27 November 2015) was a Swedish stage and film actress. Biography She was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, the daughter of Alma (née Ärnström) and Erik Hiort af Ornäs. She had a brother, Torbjorn. Along with Bibi Andersson, Eva Dahlbeck, and Ingrid Thulin, she won the Best Actress Award at the 1958 Cannes Film Festival for ''Brink of Life''. In 1989, she was given the Litteris et Artibus for her services to the arts in Sweden. Hiort af Ornäs died in Bromma on 28 November 2015, aged 94. Gustav Edvin Adolphson (25 February 1893 – 31 October 1979) was a Swedish film actor and director who appeared in over 500 roles. He made his debut in 1912. He appeared with Ingrid Bergman in ''Only One Night'' (1939), and is noted for his roles in the film ''Änglar, finns dom?'' (1961), the television version of August Strindberg's ''Hemsöborna'' (1966), and as Markurell in ''Markurells i Wadköping'' (1968). He also directed the first Swedish sound film, '' Säg det i toner'' in 1929. He was actress Harriet Bosse's third husband (1927–1932) and is father of actress Kristina Adolphson (b. 1937) and songwriter/composer Olle Adolphson (1934–2004). Adolphson was born in Furingstad, Sweden (Östergötland County), and died in Solna, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. Sten Mattsson
The STEN (or Sten gun) is a family of British submachine guns chambered in 9×19mm which were used extensively by British and Commonwealth forces throughout World War II and the Korean War. They had a simple design and very low production cost, making them effective insurgency weapons for resistance groups, and they continue to see usage to this day by irregular military forces. The Sten served as the basis for the Sterling submachine gun, which replaced the Sten in British service until the 1990s, when it, and all other submachine guns, were replaced by the SA80. The Sten is a select fire, blowback-operated weapon which mounts its magazine on the left. Sten is an acronym, from the names of the weapon's chief designers, Major Reginald V. Shepherd and Harold J. Turpin, and "En" for the Enfield factory.
