Jason "Sundance" Head (born July 9, 1978) is an American Country music, country-soul music, soul singer and songwriter. He is the son of American singer Roy Head. In 2007, he was a semi-finalist on the American Idol (season 6), sixth season of the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox television series ''American Idol'', but was eliminated one week before the finals. Republic Records is a New York City–based American record label owned by Universal Music Group (UMG). It was founded by Avery Lipman and Monte Lipman as an independent label in 1995, and was acquired by UMG in 2000.
