''Dark Matters'' is the ninth album by the Finnish rock band The Rasmus, which was released in Finland on 8 October 2017.http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/the-rasmus/updates/86301 It is their first album after five years of inactivity, as a continuation of their previous album ''The Rasmus'' (2012). The album is characterized by the musical genres that predominate in the songs, between electropop and electronic rock, although they preserve their classic style of alternative rock. The Rasmus
The Rasmus is a Finnish rock band that formed in 1994 in Helsinki while the band members were in upper comprehensive school.Main source of the band's history: The original band members were Lauri Ylönen (lead singer-songwriter), Eero Heinonen (bass), Pauli Rantasalmi (guitar) and Jarno Lahti (drums). Jarno Lahti left the year after and was replaced by Janne Heiskanen in 1995. Heiskanen quit the band in 1999 and was soon replaced by Aki Hakala. Pauli Rantasalmi left the band and was replaced by female guitarist Emilia "Emppu" Suhonen in 2022. Linnéa Mary Hansdotter Deb (née Sporre; born 23 July 1977), known professionally as Linnea Deb, is a Swedish singer, songwriter and record producer. She has worked with artists such as Fifth Harmony, JoJo, MiC Lowry and Akon. Joy Neil Mitro Deb, (born 14 January 1979) is a Swedish songwriter and producer. He has worked with artists such as Fifth Harmony, JoJo, MiC Lowry and Akon. Currently, Deb is signed to Northbound Music Publishing in Stockholm, where he is a member of the production team “The Family” together with Linnea Deb and Anton Hård af Segerstad. Earlier (2013–2016) the group was signed to BMG Publishing. Joy studied at the well-known school ‘The Writers Academy of Sweden’. Early life Deb was born to an Indian father and a Finnish mother. Lauri Johannes Ylönen (born 23 April 1979) is a Finnish singer-songwriter, best known as the co-founder and frontman of the Finland, Finnish alternative rock musical ensemble, band The Rasmus. Biography The Rasmus When he and Heinonen started at Suutarila high school in the early 1990s, they met Pauli Rantasalmi and later Janne Heiskanen. ''Rise'' is the tenth album by the Finnish rock band The Rasmus, released on 23 September 2022. It is their first album after five years of inactivity, as a continuation of their previous album '' Dark Matters'' (2017). Background Following the Dark Matters tour, the band held a series of concerts to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the release of their breakthrough album ''Dead Letters''. Before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, they released the heavily pop-influenced "Holy Grail". Subsequently, two more songs were released during the pandemic, "Bones" in early 2021 and "Venomous Moon" at the end of the year, another collaboration with Apocalyptica. ''The Rasmus'' is the eighth studio album by the Finnish rock band The Rasmus, which was released in Finland on 18 April 2012. The album received two EMMA (Finnish Grammy) awards for Best Album Cover and Best Music Video (for "I'm a Mess"). Background After Lauri Ylönen finished touring for his debut solo album, the band entered the studio in the summer of 2011 to begin writing and recording their eighth studio album. On 25 February 2012 the Rasmus debuted the lead single "I'm a Mess" at the finals of ''UMK'' in Finland. The song was released on 5 March 2012.
