Darine Chahine
Darine Chahine ( ar, دارين شاهين; born 7 October 1981) has been a Lebanese talk show host on Al Jadeed since 2005. Her shows are ''Khedni Bhelmak'' () and ''Kabsit Zir'' (). In 2001, she participated in the talent show ''Studio El Fan'', winning as a host, while she was still studying at the Lebanese University. ''Al Jadeed'' ( ar, الجديد, ''al-Jadīd'', lit=''the new'', en, New TV) is an independent Lebanese TV station. Based in Beirut, it is one of the leading TV channels in Lebanon. It was launched in 1992 and closed in 1997 due to Syrian intervention, and then relaunched in 2001 during a luxurious celebration attended by prominent figures. Studio El Fan
''Studio El Fan'' ( ar, ستوديو الفن, "The Art Studio") was one of the Arab world's first star-maker talent shows in Lebanon, created by the famous television director and producer Simon Asmar, and Alfred Barakat. The program is behind most famous Lebanese stars like Majida El Roumi, Ragheb Alama, Walid Toufic, Wael Kfoury and Assi El Hellani. The program started in 1972 on Télé Liban where it boradcasted during the 1970s and early 1980s, the LBC television proposed to welcome him during the early 1980s where it aired during the late 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s, and finally bought by the MTV in 2009. The show ran every four years for an entire year, and contestants from all over Lebanon competed in different singing categories for the gold, silver or bronze medals awards. Artists were not allowed to perform elsewhere than on LBCI, so they were called upon to perform in ''Nahr el-Founoun'', an artistic complex in Nahr el-Kalb that was owned by Simon Asmar. Jezzine
Jezzine ( ''Jizzīn'') is a town in Lebanon, located from Sidon and south of Beirut. It is the capital of Jezzine District. Surrounded by mountain peaks, pine forests (like the Bkassine Pine Forest), and at an average altitude of 950 m (3,117 ft), it is the main summer resort and tourist destination of South Lebanon. Lebanese People
The Lebanese people ( ar, الشعب اللبناني / ALA-LC: ', ) are the people inhabiting or originating from Lebanon. The term may also include those who had inhabited Mount Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains prior to the creation of the modern Lebanese state. The major religious groups among the Lebanese people within Lebanon are Shia Muslims (27%), Sunni Muslims (27%), Maronite Christians (21%), Greek Orthodox Christians (8%), Melkite Christians (5%), Druze (5.2%), Protestant Christians (1%). The largest contingent of Lebanese, however, comprise a diaspora in North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Africa, which is predominantly Maronite Christian. As the relative proportion of the various sects is politically sensitive, Lebanon has not collected official census data on ethnic background since 1932 under the French Mandate.
