Darcy Wilmot (born 31 December 2003) a professional Australian rules football player who plays for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early career He started playing junior football with his local junior club, Yarrambat, Yarrambat is in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. He was invited to try out with the Northern Knights in the (then) NAB League. Wilmot was the Brisbane Lions' first pick in the 2021 AFL draft. Northern Knights Football Club
The Northern Knights is an Australian rules football club playing in the Talent League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia. They are based in Preston, representing the northern suburban area of Melbourne. The Knights are one of the six original clubs set up as part of a plan by the Victorian State Football League to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. This was to help aid in player development and the process of the AFL draft, which allows U18 players the opportunity to be selected by AFL clubs. Grant Wilmot
Grant Wilmot (15 October 1956 – 4 July 2016) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Playing career Wilmot played his junior football at Diamond Valley Football League club Montmorency and broke into their seniors in 1974. He was a member of Montmorency's 1976 premiership team. From 1977 to 1979, Wilmot played for Preston in the Victorian Football Association (VFA). He played in the 1978 VFA Grand Final, which Preston lost to Prahran. Wilmot, who had previously fought a professional boxing bout as a middleweight in 1976, received a six-week suspension for his actions during the game. He made five senior appearances for Collingwood in the 1980 VFL season. His best performance, which earned him three Brownlow Medal votes, came in a win over St Kilda at Victoria Park, where he had 20 disposals and kicked four goals. William Ashcroft (born 6 May 2004) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Brisbane Lions Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was taken as pick number 2, under the father–son rule. Ashcroft began playing football as a child at the age of six. The son of Marcus Ashcroft, a three-time AFL premiership player, Ashcroft's talent as a footballer was identified by the Gold Coast Suns Football Club at the age of ten. He played for various teams in Queensland as a child, before moving to Melbourne in 2019 at the age of 15 where he commenced playing for the Sandringham Dragons.
