Alexandra Mary Louise "Alex" Danson, (born 21 May 1985) is a retired English international hockey player who played as a forward for England and Great Britain. Barnett Jerome "Barney" Danson, (February 8, 1921 – October 17, 2011) was a Canadians, Canadian politician and Canadian Cabinet, Cabinet minister. Family Barnett Jerome "Barney" Danson was born to a Jewish family in Toronto's Parkdale, Toronto, Parkdale neighbourhood. He joined The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada in 1939 as the Second World War broke out. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant and served until he was severely wounded, losing an eye, in the operation Overlord, Battle of Normandy. His ailment created an interest in the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and its library for the blind and visually impaired, which he maintained until his death. He returned to Canada and joined his family's insurance business before entering the plastics industry with his own company, the Danson Corporation. Ernest Denny Logie Danson (14 June 18809 December 1946) was an Anglican bishop in the first half of the 20th century. Biography He was born into a distinguished clerical family — his father was Myers Danson, Dean of Aberdeen and Orkney — on 14 June 1880 and educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond and Aberdeen University. He was ordained deacon in 1906 and priest in 1907 and began his career with a curacy at St Paul's Cathedral, Dundee. From 1906 he was a Missionary Priest in Southeast Asia eventually becoming Bishop of Labuan and Sarawak. He then returned to England as a Canon Residentiary of Carlisle Cathedral and Assistant Bishop of Carlisle (both 1931–1938) before being appointed Provost of St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh and an Assistant Bishop of Edinburgh. Sir Francis Chatillon Danson (24 November 1855 – 3 July 1926) was a British average adjuster (calculating liabilities for marine insurance). Danson was born in Barnston, Cheshire, the son of barrister and journalist John Towne Danson (1817–1898). He was educated at Liverpool College and in Paris. He established his own firm of F. C.
