Danny Roberts (Australian Actor)
Daniel Roberts (born 27 January 1966), also credited as Danny Roberts, is an Australian actor. He is perhaps best known his roles as Ailsa Stewart's younger creepy brother Tony O'Rourke in early January 1997, Dennis Harling from September 2011 until February 2012, and Gavin Cooper from 12 to 24 November 2015 in ''Home and Away''. Early life Roberts was born in Perth, Western Australia on 27 January 1966. Acting career He started with the Patch Theatre at age 12, and was in the first round at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 1979. He moved to Melbourne in 1982 where he appeared in ''Cop Shop'' and ''The Sullivans''. He then played a lead role in the soap opera ''Waterloo Station'' (1983), but the series was cancelled after a few months on air. He then became a major cast member in '' Sons and Daughters'', playing Andy Green from 1983 until the series ended in 1987. Daniel Roberts (born 12 November 1975) is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder for Colchester United and a number of English non-league clubs. Career Born in Chelmsford, Roberts came through the youth ranks at Colchester United. He was brought into the first team early following a string of injuries and suspensions, meaning that manager George Burley needed to play him during two legs of a League Cup tie with Brentford. He came on as a substitute for Chris Fry to make his debut for the club in the first leg 2–0 home defeat on 16 August 1994, and made his second and final appearance in the return leg, starting at Griffin Park in another 2–0 defeat. Danny Roberts (born 14 July 1987) is an English mixed martial artist who competes in the Welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. A professional since 2010, he has also competed for Cage Warriors. Background Born in Croydon, London, Roberts grew up on a deprived estate with his mum and ten siblings before moving to Hartcliffe, Bristol at age 9. Unfortunately, things were only marginally better and Roberts, who grew up without his father around, began to find himself drifting down the wrong path with the wrong people. After being expelled from seven different schools in London, Roberts and his mother moved to Birkenhead where Roberts began boxing at age 16. He compiled a 3-1 pro record, before making his debut in mixed martial arts in 2010. Jason Daniel "Danny" Roberts (born July 19, 1977) is a recruiter and television personality best known for appearing on '' The Real World: New Orleans'' in 2000. Career Roberts graduated from Rockmart High School in 1995. Roberts studied foreign language education while attending the University of Georgia, where he graduated from in 1999. ''Real World'' Prior to beginning the show, he had recently begun a relationship with Paul Dill, a US Army captain stationed in Vicenza, Italy. Because of the U.S. Military "Don't ask, don't tell" policy toward homosexuals, Paul's face was obscured on TV and much national attention was brought to the issue. In early 2004, MTV aired a special where Paul (then out of the military) revealed his face for the first time and the policy and its effects were discussed.
