Dan J. Martin is the dean of the College of Fine Arts and the Stanley and Marcia Gumberg Professor in the School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Martin has been at Carnegie Mellon since 1992 when he joined the faculty to lead and develop the Master of Arts Management (MAM) Program, jointly with the Heinz College, that provides professional graduate-level management training for not-for-profit arts/culture organizations. Daniel John Martin (born 20 August 1986) is an Irish former professional road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2008 and 2021 for the , , and teams. Born and raised in England, Martin represented Ireland in competition through his Irish mother. Dan Martin is a 20th and 21st century American cartoonist. Martin, a St. Louis native, was graduated from Lindbergh High School. At age 16, He worked at Six Flags Over Mid-America as caricaturist. He joined the ''St. Louis Post-Dispatch'' in 1980 out of the University of Kansas. Martin draws the Weatherbird for the ''Post-Dispatch''. He is the sixth cartoonist to draw the Weatherbird, which debuted in 1901 and appears every day on the paper's front page. He is the second-longest serving Weatherbird artist (after Amadee Wohlschlaeger), having taken over the strip in 1986. He was known for his role as Rafael in the film ''Los Tarantos'' (1963), directed by Francisco Rovira Beleta and starring Antonio Gades and Carmen Amaya.
