Daniel Holdsworth (rugby League)
Daniel Holdsworth (born 27 April 1984) is an Australian former professional rugby league five-eighth who played in the 2000s and 2010s. Background Born in the northern New South Wales town, Tweed Heads, Holdsworth moved to Perth in Western Australia at an early age. In Perth, Holdsworth played all his junior rugby league for the North Beach Sea Eagles in the Perth Rugby League competition. Holdsworth represented Western Australia at the Under 15 and Under 18 age groups. Career Holdsworth spent two years in the Penrith Panthers' lower grades, before signing with the St George Illawarra Dragons for the 2004 season. He made his NRL début while at the club and played 6 games in two seasons, before joining Canterbury, where he would play 70 games between 2006 and 2009. Holdsworth then spent four seasons in the Super League, playing for the Salford City Reds and Hull FC. Tweed Heads, New South Wales
Tweed Heads is a town in New South Wales. It is located on the Tweed River in north-eastern New South Wales, Australia, in Tweed Shire, next to the border with Queensland and adjacent to its "twin town" of Coolangatta, which is a suburb of the Gold Coast. It is often referred to as a town where people can change time zones – even celebrate New Year twice within an hour – simply by crossing the street, due to its proximity to the Queensland border, and the fact that New South Wales observes daylight saving whereas Queensland does not. England National Rugby League Team
The England national rugby league team represents England in international rugby league. The team, largely formed from the Great Britain team which also represented Wales and Scotland, is run under the auspices of the Rugby Football League. It participates in the Rugby League World Cup, Four Nations and Test matches. The team dates to 1904, when they played against a mixture of Welsh and Scottish players in Wigan. Until the 1950s, they regularly toured Australia and New Zealand and played both home and away matches against neighbours Wales and France, but when it was decided that Great Britain would tour the Southern Hemisphere instead of England, France and Wales became the only regular opponents. Andrew Ryan (born 2 December 1978, Dubbo, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s. An Australia international]and New South Wales rugby league team, New South Wales State of Origin representative forward, he played his club football in the National Rugby League for the Parramatta Eels and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, winning the 2004 NRL premiership with the club and becoming their captain.
