Dancing With The Stars (U.S. Season 14)
Season fourteen of ''Dancing with the Stars'' premiered on March 19, 2012, on the ABC network. Starting the week of April 16, and for the next two weeks after that, the bottom two couples competed in a dance duel. Both couples performed at the same time, at which point the judges decided who would be eliminated that week. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd won the competition over British classical singer Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas, who finished second, and Cuban-American Telenovela star William Levy and Cheryl Burke, who finished third. This season introduced "Ballroom Battles" where Cheryl Burke, Mark Ballas, Louis van Amstel, Lacey Schwimmer, Karina Smirnoff, and Tony Dovolani trained a pair of amateur dancers to compete against other amateur couples. Kym Johnson-Herjavec
Kym Herjavec (née Johnson; born 4 August 1976) is an Australian professional ballroom dancer and television performer who appeared in the first three seasons of the Australian version of ''Dancing with the Stars'' as a professional dancer, before moving to the U.S. version of the franchise from 2006 to 2015. Johnson returned as a professional to the U.S. series in 2017 for its 24th season. She also served as a judge on the Australian version of the show from 2013 to 2015. She is married to Robert Herjavec. Dance biography Johnson began dancing at the age of three. She began ballroom dancing at 13 years of age. Oksana (Dmytrenko) Platero ( ua, Оксана Дмитренко) is a Ukrainian ballroom and Latin dancer. She spent five seasons as a member of the troupe on Dancing with the Stars in the United States. She joined the United Kingdom's Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer in series 14. Early life Oksana Dmytrenko was born on 29 October 1988 in Ukraine.
