Dan Oil Field
The Dan oil field is a large oil and associated gas field in the Danish sector of the North Sea, about west of Esbjerg. Oil and gas are produced through a complex of offshore installations. The ''Kraka'' and ''Regnar'' fields are satellites to the Dan installations. The field The Dan field was discovered in May 1971 by the ''Britannia'' oil rig in Denmark Block 7.3 of the North Sea. The reservoir is an Upper Cretaceous Danian chalk at a depth of 5,800 to 6,400 feet (1,768 to 1,951 metres). The oil has an API gravity of 30.4 and a gas oil ratio of 600 standard cubic feet per barrel (scf/bbl). The estimated recoverable reserves are 90–125 million barrels (14.3–19.9 million cubic metres) of oil and 1.2–1.3 trillion cubic feet (34–37 billion cubic metres) of gas. Development The field was developed in phases through multi-platform installations, summarized as follows: Production of condensate (in 1000s of barrels) was: Kraka and Regnar fields The Kraka and Regn ...

Oil Field
A petroleum reservoir or oil and gas reservoir is a subsurface accumulation of hydrocarbons contained in porous or fractured rock formations. Such reservoirs form when kerogen (ancient plant matter) is created in surrounding rock by the presence of high heat and pressure in the Earth's crust. Petroleum reservoirs are broadly classified as ''conventional'' and '' unconventional'' reservoirs. In conventional reservoirs, the naturally occurring hydrocarbons, such as crude oil or natural gas, are trapped by overlying rock formations with lower permeability, while in unconventional reservoirs, the rocks have high porosity and low permeability, which keeps the hydrocarbons trapped in place, therefore not requiring a cap rock. Reservoirs are found using hydrocarbon exploration methods. Oil field An oil field is an area of accumulation of liquid oil underground in multiple (potentially linked) reservoirs, trapped as it rises by impermeable rock formations. In industrial terms, an o ...

Siri, Nini And Cecilie Oil Fields
The Siri oil field and its satellites, Nini and Cecille, are oil producing fields in the Danish sector of the southern North Sea. Operating since 1999 and 2003 they are the most northerly of Denmark's offshore oil assets located close to the Denmark-Norway median line. The fields The Siri field comprises a sandstone reservoir of oil with a low gas content. It is in Block 5604/20 in the far north of the Danish sector near the Denmark-Norway median line. The Siri reservoir comprises four areas: Siri Central; Siri North; to the north east Stine segment 2; and Stine segment 1. The field is developed through a single installation (designated SCA) located over the Siri Central formation with subsea wells exploiting Stine1 & 2. The Nini field is to the north east of the Siri field and is a sandstone oil reservoir. It has been developed through two platforms (Nini A and Nini B also known as Nini East and Nini West) with well fluids piped to Siri SCA installation for processing. The C ...

Natural Gas Fields In Denmark
Nature, in the broadest sense, is the physics, physical world or universe. "Nature" can refer to the phenomenon, phenomena of the physical world, and also to life in general. The study of nature is a large, if not the only, part of science. Although humans are part of nature, human activity is often understood as a separate category from other natural phenomena. The word ''nature'' is borrowed from the Old French ''nature'' and is derived from the Latin word ''natura'', or "essential qualities, innate disposition", and in ancient times, literally meant "birth". In ancient philosophy, ''natura'' is mostly used as the Latin translation of the Greek word ''physis'' (φύσις), which originally related to the intrinsic characteristics of plants, animals, and other features of the world to develop of their own accord. The concept of nature as a whole, the physical universe, is one of several expansions of the original notion; it began with certain core applications of the word ...

Maersk Oil
Maersk Oil ( da, Mærsk Olie og Gas A/S) was a Danish oil and gas company owned by the A. P. Moller-Maersk Group. with a maximum operated production of 550,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Production came from Denmark, the UK, Qatar, Kazakhstan, the US Gulf of Mexico, Algeria and Brazil. The company had exploration activities in Angola, Norway, Greenland, Kurdistan Region of Iraq and in the producing countries. History The company was established in 1962 when Maersk Group was awarded a concession for oil and gas exploration and production in the Danish sector of the North Sea. In 1986, Maersk Oil took over the operation of the Dansk Undergrunds Consortium's fields in the Danish section of the North Sea. On 31 August 2015 the UK Oil And Gas Authority approved a consortium headed by Maersk Oil going ahead with production at the Culzean oil and gas field about 150 miles southeast of Aberdeen, Scotland in the North Sea. The high pressure, high temperature field holds the e ...

Halfdan Field
Halfdan (, ang, Healfdene, Medieval Latin, Medieval : "half Danes, Dane") was a late 5th and early 6th century legendary Danish king of the Scylding (Skjöldung) lineage, the son of king named Fróði in many accounts, noted mainly as the father to the two kings who succeeded him in the rule of Denmark, kings named Hroðgar and Halga in the Old English poem ''Beowulf'' and named Hróar and Helgi in Old Norse accounts. Various accounts According to the ''Chronicon Lethrense'' and Saxo Grammaticus' ''Gesta Danorum'' (Book 2), Halfdan had two brothers named Ro and Skat who also sought the throne. Both were killed by Halfdan. Saxo adds that his brothers' supporters were hanged and that Halfdan continued to reign with great cruelty, but that he reigned long and died peaceably in extreme old age. The ''Ynglinga saga'' gives Halfdan (in this work also son of a king named Fróði) a brother named Fridleif and says both were great warriors but that Halfdan was the better of the two. Th ...
