Dan Robinson (politician)
McDaniel Robinson (July 17, 1926 – February 11, 2022) was a Democratic member of the North Carolina Senate from 1999 to 2002 representing District 29. He was defeated by fellow Sen. Bob Carpenter of the Republican Party after redistricting. Robinson was born in Marion, North Carolina in 1926. The North Carolina Senate is the upper chamber of the North Carolina General Assembly, which along with the North Carolina House of Representatives—the lower chamber—comprises the state legislature of North Carolina. The term of office for each senator is only two years. The Senate's prerogatives and powers are similar to those of the other house, the House of Representatives.
