''Dan Hill'' is an album by Canadian musician Dan Hill. It was released in 1987 on Columbia Records. It is Hill's eighth album in all, and his second eponymous release, following his 1975 debut album. The lead single from the album was a duet with Vonda Shepard, " Can't We Try", which peaked at No. 6 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Along with "Can't We Try", two other tracks, "Never Thought (That I Could Love)" and "Carmelia", also reached the top ten of the ''Billboard'' Adult Contemporary chart. Dan Hill
Daniel Grafton Hill IV (born 3 June 1954) is a Canadian pop singer and songwriter. He had two major international hits with his songs "Sometimes When We Touch" and "Can't We Try", a duet with Vonda Shepard, as well as a number of other charting singles in Canada and the United States. He also established himself as a songwriter who produced hit songs for artists such as George Benson and Celine Dion. Scott Michael Cutler is an American songwriter, musician, record producer, and music executive. As a member of the alternative rock band Ednaswap, he co-wrote " Torn" which was covered in 1997 by Natalie Imbruglia. Her recording became the worldwide number one airplay song, and spent 14 weeks on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 Airplay Chart in the US. ''Santa Barbara'' is an American television soap opera that aired on NBC from July 30, 1984, to January 15, 1993. Robert C. Ludwig (born c. 1945) is an American mastering engineer. He has mastered recordings on all the major recording formats for all the major record labels, and on projects by more than 1,300 artists including Led Zeppelin, Lou Reed, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney, Nirvana, Bruce Springsteen and Daft Punk resulting in over 3,000 credits. Craig Krampf
Craig Krampf (born October 22, 1954) is an American drummer, percussionist, arranger, record producer and songwriter. The majority of his notable credits are as a studio drummer. Since the 1970s, he has played on albums by other artists ranging from Steve Perry to Alabama to Kim Carnes to Flo & Eddie to Alice Cooper to Melissa Etheridge. Additionally, Krampf and Perry were founding members of the short-lived rock group Alien Project. John Sheard is a Canadian pianist, producer and arranger, who throughout his thirty year career has recorded and performed with many North American artists, and is most recognized for his work on Stuart McLean's ''Vinyl Cafe''.
