Damien Perquis (; born 8 March 1986) is a French footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Saint-Amand FC. He has formerly played professionally for Caen and Valenciennes. He became first-choice goalkeeper in 2012, when he succeeded Alexis Thébaux in Caen. In July 2020, after returning to Valenciennes FC from a loan spell at Dutch Eerste Divisie club TOP Oss, Perquis signed with lower league side Saint-Amand FC, who competed in the Régional 1 Ligue Hauts-de-France, one of the sixth tiers of the French football league system The French football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in France and Monaco, and includes one Spanish side. Damien Albert René Perquis (born 10 April 1984) is a former professional footballer and current assistant coach of Gazélec Ajaccio's B-team. A defender, he represented France at youth level, before acquiring Polish citizenship and playing for Poland at senior level. He retired in June 2020, after an 18-year professional career. Personal life Perquis was born in Troyes, France. He is of Polish descent by way of his grandmother, Józefa Bierła. His Polish ancestors were from Strzyżewko, in central Poland. He is married, and has two children. Club career Troyes Perquis came up through the Troyes AC youth system.
