Dabas, Hungary
Dabas (german: Dabotz) is a town in Pest County, Hungary, and the center of a microregion. It has a population of 16,000. History The town consists of four different parts: Upper Dabas, Lower Dabas, Gyón and Sári. The village of Dabas was already a populous settlement in 1270, but in the Ottoman Empire, Ottoman era the whole region became totally deserted. In the 18th century four new villages were created by the owners of the territory. The inhabitants of Upper-Dabas were catholic Hungarian serfs, Lower-Dabas was the centre of the lower nobility (especially the famous and populous Halász family), Sári (''Šari'') was populated by catholic Slovak colonists and Gyón by Reformed Hungarians and Evangelical Slovaks. The Slovaks of Sári kept their national identity until the present. Lajos Dinnyés
Lajos Dinnyés (16 April 1901 – 3 May 1961) was a Hungarian politician of the Smallholders Party who served as the last pre-communist Prime Minister of Hungary from 1947 to 1948. Biography He came from a well to do titled family and finished high school at Budapest Reformed Gimnazium. He finished studies at Keszthely Academy, earning a degree in agriculture. Following his father's death he looked after the family property in 1930. He became a member of the Agrarian Party in 1929, subsequently representing the Smallholders Party after their merger in 1930. Between 1931 and 1938, he served as a Member of Parliament representing Alsódabas. He married in 1941, held a civil post and served for a short term in the army. He returned to public life in 1945 when the Smallholders Party was reformed. In March 1947, he became Minister of Defence in the government of Ferenc Nagy, the leader of the Smallholders Party. Albenga ( lij, Arbenga; la, Albingaunum) is a city and ''comune'' situated on the Gulf of Genoa on the Italian Riviera in the Province of Savona in Liguria, northern Italy. Aiton ( hu, Ajton; german: Eiten) is a commune in Cluj County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Aiton and Rediu (''Rőd''). Geography Mean altitude: 626 m (2054 ft). The presence of large deposits of halite and saltwater springs within the perimeter of the commune have been identified.
