"DOA" is the second song released as a single from Foo Fighters' fifth album, ''In Your Honor''. Song information DOA refers to the medical term "dead on arrival". The song reached number one on ''Billboard'''s Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart for six non-consecutive weeks. The cover artwork features an Ampeg Dan Armstrong guitar. Live Performances The band claimed it was the hardest song from In Your Honor to play live. "DOA" was played often on the In Your Honor tour and the Echoes Silence Patience and Grace tour. It was played just once on the Wasting Light tour. It was not played again until the Sonic Highways tour in 2015, where it was requested by a group of fans. It hasn't been played live since then. Foo Fighters (band)
Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1994. Foo Fighters was initially formed as a one-man project by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. Following the success of the eponymous debut album, Grohl (lead vocals, guitar) recruited a band consisting of Nate Mendel (bass guitar), William Goldsmith (drums), and Pat Smear (guitar). After a succession of lineup changes, including the departures of Goldsmith and Smear, the band formed its core lineup in 1999 consisting of Grohl, Mendel, Chris Shiflett (guitar), and Taylor Hawkins (drums). Ampeg is a manufacturer best known for its bass amplifiers. Originally established in 1946 in Linden, New Jersey by Everett Hull and Stanley Michaels as "Michael-Hull Electronic Labs," today Ampeg is part of the Yamaha Guitar Group. Maida Vale Studios is a complex of seven BBC sound studios, of which five are in regular use, in Delaware Road, Maida Vale, west London. It has been used to record thousands of classical music, popular music and drama sessions for BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 6 Music from 1946 to the present. On 30 October 2009, BBC Radio 1 celebrated ''75 Years of Maida Vale'' by exclusively playing 75 tracks recorded at the studios over the years. The EP is a collection of b-sides from singles from the band's 2005 album ''In Your Honor''. The title refers to the contents: five original songs and one cover song. The cover song is Cream's "I Feel Free," which features drummer Taylor Hawkins on vocals and Dave Grohl on drums. Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means. While all music was once acoustic, the retronym "acoustic music" appeared after the advent of electric instruments, such as the electric guitar, electric violin, electric organ and synthesizer. Cream were a British rock band formed in London in 1966. The group consisted of bassist Jack Bruce, guitarist Eric Clapton, and drummer Ginger Baker.
