DD Yadagiri
DD Yadagiri is a state-owned Telugu language television channel operated by India's national broadcaster Doordarshan. It is one of the 11 Indian language channels operated by Doordarshan and is telecast from Doordarshan Kendra, Hyderabad and caters the state of Telangana. The channel is named for Lord Narasimha of Yadagirigutta in the state. History of Kendra Hyderabad's Doordarshan Kendra has transformed from the initial setup of Television Base Production Center during 1974. It was inaugurated by the then President of India, N. Sanjeeva Reddy on 23 October 1977. The service has been extended to the entire state in phased manner by installing Terrestrial Transmitters of different capacities (HPTs, LPTs, VLPTs) in different parts of the state. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. DD Free Dish (previously known as DD Direct Plus) is an Indian free-to-air satellite television provider. DD Free Dish DTH service is owned and operated by Public Service Broadcaster Prasar Bharati. It was launched in December, 2004. In March 2022, It has a reach of over 43 million households which is more than 25% of the total TV households in the country. DD Saptagiri previously known as DD-8 ( Telugu: దూరదర్శన్ సప్తగిరి) is a state-owned television channel telecasting in the Telugu language from a studio at Doordarshan Kendra Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. The studio was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, on 27 September 2014. In addition to terrestrial over-the-air transmission, the DD Vijayawada studio programmes are beamed through direct-broadcast satellite (DTH) and cable networks. Standard-definition television (SDTV, SD, often shortened to standard definition) is a television system which uses a resolution that is not considered to be either high or enhanced definition. "Standard" refers to it being the prevailing specification for broadcast (and later, cable) television in the mid- to late-20th century, and compatible with legacy analog broadcast systems.
