''D6 Adventure'' is a generic role-playing game system based on the D6 System. ''D6 Adventure'' is published as a stand-alone rulebook (not dependent upon or requiring any other D6 System rulebooks) and is supported by its own line of supplements. Setting Being a generic system, ''D6 Adventure'' contains no setting information, and provides rules material for playing in a wide variety of modern or near-modern cinematic settings, including action adventure, pulp, espionage, western, and low-powered superhero games. West End Games has released one world book for D6 Adventures, a reworking of the Masterbook title Bloodshadows. System ''D6 Adventure'' uses the D6 Classic System for resolution, and is compatible with most games that use that system. As with all D6 System games, there are differences from other related games. Bloodshadows
''Bloodshadows'' is an original pulp adventure gamebook by West End Games that was published in 1994. It was the first setting book for WEG's MasterBook game, which used rules elements used earlier in their TORG and Shatterzone games. It was reprinted in 2011 by Precis Intermedia, which is looking to rework and reform the core rules. A reworked third edition of the gamebook was published by Precis Intermedia in 2016. Background The game is set in the world of Marl, a setting influenced by dark fantasy, urban fantasy, and pulp fiction influenced by writings of H.P. Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard, and Edgar Rice Burroughs and the '' roman noir'' of Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler. It has an early 20th century industrial age base in which the technology is blended with magic. Film noir (; ) is a cinematic term used primarily to describe stylish Hollywood crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize cynical attitudes and motivations. The 1940s and 1950s are generally regarded as the "classic period" of American ''film noir''. Eric J
Eric J Dubowsky also known as Eric J, is a Grammy, Emmy, ARIA, and APRA award-winning mixer, songwriter and record producer. Eric grew up in the New York City suburb of Tenafly, New Jersey and graduated from Tenafly High School in 1993. After attending Syracuse University he worked at Greene St. Recording in New York City, the home of early hip-hop artists Run-DMC, and Public Enemy. It was here Eric assisted engineer/producer, Rod Hui. That led to a job working with Atlantic Records producer Arif Mardin in 1998. ''Masterbook'' is a generic role-playing game that was published by West End Games (WEG) in 1994.
