D'Iberville High School is a suburban public high school located in D'Iberville, Mississippi, United States, with a Biloxi postal address. A new high school building was dedicated on March 15, 2009 at 15625 Lamey Bridge Road in D'Iberville. The former high school building located at 3320 Warrior Drive is now D'Iberville Middle School. It is part of the Harrison County School District, serves 1,293 students as of the 2018–2019 school year, and consists of students from North Woolmarket and D'Iberville middle schools. Chase Sherman (born November 16, 1989) is an American professional mixed martial artist and former bare-knuckle boxer. A professional MMA competitor since 2014, he has competed for the UFC and Titan FC. Background Born and raised in D'Iberville, Mississippi, Sherman played football at D'Iberville High School. Miss Mississippi is a scholarship pageant and a preliminary of Miss America. The contest began in 1934, has been held in Vicksburg since 1958, and provides more money than any other scholarship pageant in the Miss America Organization. Best known as a dynamic college football star, he had a short-lived professional career in both the United States Football League and National Football League. D'Iberville ( ) is a city in Harrison County, Mississippi, United States, immediately north of Biloxi, across the Back Bay. As of the 2010 United States Census, it had a population of 9,486. It is part of the Gulfport–Biloxi Metropolitan Statistical Area. Etymology It is named after Canadian explorer Pierre Le Moyne d'Iberville, who arrived at the area in 1699.
