D'Aguilar Peak
D'Aguilar Peak or Hok Tsui Shan () is a hill in southeastern Hong Kong. D'Aguilar Peak is clearly visible from the Dragon's Back trail, although the trail doesn't traverse its summit. It is named after Major-General Sir George Charles d'Aguilar. Geography D'Aguilar Peak is 325m in height. To the north lies another hill called Shek O Peak. Conservation A site located on the north-western slope of D'Aguilar Peak and south of Windy Gap, covering an area of 5 hectares, was designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1975. Access It is possible to access the summit of D'Aguilar Peak after hiking for about 30 minutes from Cape D'Aguilar Road. There is also a steep and rocky trail from Shek O Beach that leads to the summit. Shek O Peak or Ta Lan Tsing Teng Shan () is a hill in southern Hong Kong. It is the tallest hill along the Dragon's Back trail. Geography Shek O Peak is 284m in height. To the south lies another hill called D'Aguilar Peak. Access Section 8 of the Hong Kong Trail runs through the top ridge of Shek O Peak. A Site of Special Scientific Interest () or SSSI is a special area to protect wildlife, habitats and geographic features based on scientific interest in Hong Kong. Scientific interests are special features relating to animal life, plant life, geology and/or geography. Shek O Beach
Shek O Beach is a gazetted beach located facing Island Bay in Shek O, Southern District, Hong Kong. The beach has barbecue pits and is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Government. The beach is about 230 metres long and is rated as Grade 1 by the Environmental Protection Department for its water quality. History On 25 October 2014, a 60-year-old man was found lying on the shore after being drowned while swimming near the beach. The police and the ambulance had arrived at the scene and confirmed that the man had died. On 18 November 2018, a 12-year-old girl had drowned while swimming near the beach. She was rescued by a swimmer and was accompanied by her male relative and her friend to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for treatment. Cape D'Aguilar () is a cape on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. The cape is on the southeastern end of D'Aguilar Peninsula. To its north are Shek O and D'Aguilar Peak. Name It is named after Major-General George Charles d'Aguilar. Geography Cape D'Aguilar is in the Southern District. Nearby, there are two small islands collectively called Kau Pei Chau ().
