D. T. H. Van Der Merwe
Daniel Tailliferre Hauman van der Merwe (born 28 April 1986) is a South African-Canadian rugby union player. He currently plays for the LA Giltinis of Major League Rugby (MLR). He previously played for the Glasgow Warriors in the Pro14. Early life Van der Merwe was born in Worcester, South Africa. Van der Merwe took up rugby at the age of five progressing through the game and eventually making the Boland U-16 squad. Van der Merwe and his family emigrated from South Africa to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada in 2003 at the age of 17. In Regina, van der Merwe attended Dr. Martin LeBoldus High School and played for the Rogues Rugby Club where he managed to make the Saskatchewan U-18 and U-21 rugby teams as well as the Prairie Fire of the now defunct Rugby Canada Super League. The Rugby Canada Super League (RCSL or Super League) was a national, semi-professional rugby union competition in Canada. The league represented the second level of domestic rugby union in Canada, and the highest level wholly indigenous to Canada. Jonathan Davies (born 5 April 1988) is a Welsh professional rugby union player who plays at centre for the Scarlets and the Wales national team. He is commonly known as "Fox", differentiating him from the Jonathan Davies who played both rugby union and rugby league during the 1980s and 1990s. His brother is James Davies, who also played professional rugby for Wales as a flanker. The 2010–11 Magners League was the tenth Celtic League season and the fifth with Magners as title sponsor. The regular season began on 3 September 2010 and finished on the weekend of 6–8 May 2011. During these stages, each team played every other team both home and away and were awarded points according to the standard bonus point system. The 2009 Churchill Cup took place between June 6 and June 21, 2009, marking the seventh year of the Churchill Cup. For the first time in the tournament's history, all rounds were held in the United States. The 2007–08 EDF Energy Cup was the 37th season of England's national rugby union cup competition, and the third to follow the recently adopted Anglo-Welsh format. As in the previous two years, the competition is contested between the 12 teams of the Guinness Premiership and the four Welsh regions from the Pro14, Celtic League.
