D. M. Martin
Duncan McLaren Martin (May 1854 – October 19, 1934) was an American educator and college football coach. He served as the head football at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan in 1896 and again in 1898, compiling a record of 4–4–1. Byron, New York
Byron is a town in Genesee County, New York, United States. The town is named after a famous poet, Lord Byron. It on the northern border of the county, and lies northeast of the city of Batavia. The population was 2,369 at the 2010 census. The local school district, Byron-Bergen Central School District, is shared with the town of Bergen. History Byron was first settled ''circa'' 1807. ''Arizona Miner'' (alternatively the ''Arizona Weekly Miner'', ''Miner'', or ''Weekly Miner'') was a newspaper published in Prescott, Arizona Territory, from 1868 to 1885 and circulated throughout Yavapai County. The paper merged with the ''Arizona Weekly Journal'' in 1885 to create the ''Arizona Weekly Journal-Miner'', which was published until 1934. It underwent a succession of owners and changes in its publishing frequency as well as its political leanings. History The predecessor paper, the ''Republican Fort Whipple Arizona Miner'', was established in 1864 at Fort Whipple as a monthly. It was owned by then Territorial Secretary Richard C. McCormick who purchased a press in Santa Fe, New Mexico on his initial journey to the territory and transported it in government wagons along with his other personal belongings. Prescott ( ) is a city in Yavapai County, Arizona, United States. According to the 2020 Census, the city's population was 45,827. The city is the county seat of Yavapai County. In 1864, Prescott was designated as the capital of the Arizona Territory, replacing the temporary capital of Fort Whipple. The Territorial Capital was moved to Tucson in 1867. Prescott again became the Territorial Capital in 1877, until Phoenix became the capital in 1889. Prescott has a rich history as a frontier gold and silver mining town. ''The Times Herald'' is a daily newspaper in Port Huron, Michigan. The newspaper, owned by Gannett, is the only daily paper serving St. Clair County, Michigan as well as parts of Sanilac and Lapeer counties.
