Côney
The Côney () is a long river in the Vosges and Haute-Saône ''départements'', northeastern France. Its source is near ''Lion Faing'', a lieu-dit in Dounoux. It flows generally southwest. It is a left tributary of the Saône into which it flows in Corre. It shares its valley with the canal de l'Est on most of its course. Canal De L'Est
The Canal de la Meuse is the current name of what used to be the northern branch of the Canal de l'Est ("canal of the east"). It is a canal in northeastern France, predominantly made up of the canalised river Meuse. Saône
The Saône ( , ; frp, Sona; lat, Arar) is a river in eastern France. It is a right tributary of the Rhône, rising at Vioménil in the Vosges department and joining the Rhône in Lyon, at the southern end of the Presqu'île. The name derives from that of the Gallic river goddess Souconna, which has also been connected with a local Celtic tribe, the Sequanes. Selles, Haute-Saône
Selles () is a commune in the Haute-Saône department in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in eastern France. The river Côney flows through the village and also the canal de l'Est. The canal can be crossed in Selles using a metal bridge which is opened manually to allow canal boats to pass through. Locally the bridge is known as Le Pont Tournant and there is a restaurant of the same name by the canal. Visitors to Selles can visit the Jean Roussey cheese factory which has free entry. There is a tasting room and shop where the cheeses that are produced there can be bought by visitors. The area is characterised by the many springs that emerge from the ground and these are used for drinking and washing even today.
