Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. As with any attacking player, the role of the forward relies heavily on being able to create space for attack. The 1998–99 Taça de Portugal was the 59th edition of the Portuguese football knockout tournament, organized by the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).
