Campora San Giovanni
Campora San Giovanni (''Campura San Giuvanni'' or ''Campura Santu Janni'', in the ancient Camporese dialect) is a ''frazione'' of the ''comune'' (municipality) of Amantea, in the province of Cosenza, Calabria, Italy, located close to the border with the province of Catanzaro. Geography Campora San Giovanni overlooks the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Since the 1950s, the village has grown and expanded on a small plateau that rises over a flat area close to the beach. The region is surrounded by a hill covered with vineyards and olive plantations. This hill slopes gently towards the region and offers an agreeable sight: on the left, the gulf of Lamezia Terme; in front, on the horizon line, Stromboli volcano can be seen on clear days. La Cámpora is an Argentine left-wing political youth organization supporting the governments of Néstor Kirchner, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, and Alberto Fernández. It is named after former Peronist president Héctor José Cámpora. It was established by Máximo Kirchner in 2006 and became politically prominent after the death of former president Néstor Kirchner. History ''La Cámpora'' was created by Máximo Kirchner, son of Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández. Its origins can be traced back to the 2003 Argentine general election, in order to support Néstor Kirchner, and has extended said support to Cristina Fernández de Kirchner during the 2008 Argentine government conflict with the agricultural sector, to counter the opposing demonstrations. Anne-Marie Campora (19 November 1938 – 12 November 2015) was a Monegasque politician. Early life and family background Anne-Marie Campora was born in 1938. Her father, Charles Campora, served as the president of AS Monaco FC, the national football club of Monaco. Her twin brother, Jean-Louis Campora, served as the president of AS Monaco FC from 1975 to 2003, and as the president of the National Council from 1993 to 2003. Giuseppe Campora (September 30, 1923 – December 5, 2004) was an Italian operatic tenor. Early life Giuseppe Campora was born on September 30, 1923, in Tortona, Italy. Career Campora was a Giacomo Puccini, Puccinian tenor. In 1954 he was the dubbed voice for Nicolai Filacuridi as Pinkerton in the Carmine Gallone directed film of Madama Butterfly.
