Cyrill Demian (Arm. Կյուրեղ Դեմյան) (1772–1849) was an Armenian inventor of Armenopolis origin who made his living as an organ and piano maker with his two sons, Karl and Guido, in Mariahilfer Straße No. 43 in Vienna, Austria. On May 6, 1829, Cyrill and his sons presented a new instrument to the authorities for patent - the accordion. The patent was officially granted on May 23, 1829. Cyrill Kistler (12 May 1848 in Großaitingen, Swabia, Germany – 1 January 1907 in Bad Kissingen, Lower Franconia, Germany) was a German composer, music theoretician, Music educator and Music publisher. Life Born into a Swabian family of craftsmen, Kistler attended the ''Lehrerseminar'' (Teacher seminar) in Lauingen (Swabia) from 1864 to 1867. Subsequently, he firstly worked as a teacher at various places in Middle Swabia. However, when he was no longer content with this way of making a living, he, instead, concentrated merely on making and composing music. From 1876 to 1878, he was a student at the ''Königliche Musikschule'' (Royal Music School) in Munich in the subjects organ and composition; one of his teachers was Josef Rheinberger. Cyrill Schmidiger (born 22 June 1978) is a Swiss former footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. He played mainly in the position as midfielder. Football career Schmidiger played his youth football with local amateur club SV Muttenz and advanced to their first team during the summer 1995 and played one season in the 2nd League, the fourth tier of Swiss football. Schmidiger joined FC Basel's youth system and first team before their 1996–97 FC Basel season, signing a two-year professional contract, under head-coach Karl Engel. He played mainly with the youth or reserve team, but after playing in three test games Schmidiger played his domestic league debut for the club in the home game in the St. Jakob Stadium on 31 May 1997 as Basel won 3–2 against Aarau.
