Cynthia Stevenson
Cynthia Stevenson (born August 2, 1962) is an American actress. She first played a leading role in the syndicated parody comedy series ''My Talk Show'' (1990–91), before starring in a number of sitcoms, including ''Bob'' (CBS, 1992–93), ''Hope & Gloria'' (NBC, 1995–96), and '' Oh Baby'' (Lifetime, 1998-2000). Stevenson made her big screen debut in Robert Altman's 1992 satirical film '' The Player''. She later has appeared in a number of films including ''Forget Paris'' (1995), '' Home for the Holidays'' (1995), ''Happiness'' (1998), '' Air Bud: Golden Receiver'' (1998) and its sequels, and ''Agent Cody Banks'' (2003) and its sequel. Stevenson also starred in the Showtime comedy-drama ''Dead Like Me'' (2003–04) and the ABC comedy-drama ''Men in Trees'' (2006–08). ''From the Earth to the Moon'' is a 12-part 1998 HBO television miniseries co-produced by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Tom Hanks, and Michael Bostick telling the story of the Apollo program during the 1960s and early 1970s in docudrama format. Largely based on Andrew Chaikin's 1994 book, ''A Man on the Moon'', the series is known for its accurate telling of the story of Apollo and the special effects under visual director Ernest D. Farino. The series takes its title from, but is not based upon, the 1865 Jules Verne science fiction novel ''From the Earth to the Moon''. Charles "Pete" Conrad Jr. (June 2, 1930 â€“ July 8, 1999) was an American NASA astronaut, aeronautical engineer, naval officer and aviator, and test pilot, and commanded the Apollo 12 space mission, on which he became the third person to walk on the Moon. Conrad was selected in NASA's second astronaut class in 1962.
