Cynergy Shotgun
The Browning Cynergy is a range of over-and-under (double-barrel weapons with their barrels attached vertically), double-barreled shotguns introduced in 2004 by Browning Arms Company. It is considered to be a major departure from the traditional design of over and under shotguns, which date back to the early 20th century. The Cynergy is manufactured at the Miroku Firearms Manufacturing plant in Kochi, Japan. The Cynergy is substantially different in its design from Browning's previous Over and Under shotgun, the Superposed. Double-barreled Shotgun
A double-barreled shotgun is a break-action shotgun with two parallel barrels, allowing two single shots to be fired in quick succession or simultaneously. Construction Modern double-barreled shotguns, often known as ''doubles'', are almost universally break action, with the barrels hinge down at the rear to expose the breech ends for unloading and reloading. Browning Arms Company (originally John Moses and Matthew Sandefur Browning Company) is an American marketer of firearms and fishing gear. ( OSE7983 is a Japanese firearms manufacturer located in Nankoku, Kōchi Prefecture. Their products include shotguns produced for Browning Arms Company and rifles licensed by Winchester Firearms. In European markets, these products are sold under both the Miroku and Browning brand names. Modern history of the company began in 1946 as harpoon cannon producer for the recovering Japanese whaling industry, expanding into firearms after the San Francisco Peace Treaty in 1951. Charles Daly Firearms of the United States imported Miroku over/under shotguns throughout the 1960s to early 1970s. Afterwards, Miroku found a new outlet for the over/under models under Browning, explaining the similarities from late models imported by Daly to early Browning Citori Type 1 models. Browning Superposed
The Superposed introduced a wide variety of innovations including the single select trigger and over-under design. This design was considered revolutionary in the 1930s, but it was later found that Browning had already made a model of this design in the 1880s.
