Cydney Clanton
Cydney Clanton (born July 18, 1989) is an American professional golfer who has played on the LPGA Tour and the Symetra Tour. She has won twice on the Symetra Tour and once on the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Clanton played college golf at Auburn University where she won twice. She also won the North and South Women's Amateur. She played on the winning 2010 Curtis Cup team where she won two matches and halved a third. She also played on the U.S. team at the 2010 Espirito Santo Trophy that finished second to the South Korea team. Professional career Clanton turned professional in 2011 and played on the Symetra Tour that year. She earned her LPGA Tour card for 2012 through the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. 2013 Symetra Tour
The 2013 Symetra Tour was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from February through September 2013 in the United States. The Symetra Tour is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in the United States and is the "official developmental tour" of the LPGA Tour. It was previously known as the Futures Tour. The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is an American organization for female golfers. The organization is headquartered at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida, and is best known for running the LPGA Tour, a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female professional golfers from around the world. Curtis Cup
The Curtis Cup is the best known team trophy for women amateur golfers, awarded in the biennial Curtis Cup Match. It is co-organised by the United States Golf Association and The R&A and is contested by teams representing the United States and "Great Britain and Ireland". The same two teams originally contested the Ryder Cup, but unlike that competition, the Curtis Cup has not widened the Great Britain and Ireland team to include all Europeans (nor has the analogous event for amateur men, the Walker Cup). 2010 Espirito Santo Trophy
The 2010 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 20–23 October at the Olivos Golf Club and Buenos Aires Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the 24th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event. There were a record 52 team entries, each with two or three players. Each team played two rounds at Olivos and two rounds at Buenos Aires. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. South Korea won the Trophy for their second title, with a record 30-under-par score of 546, 17 strokes ahead of silver medalist team United States. The Evian Championship
The Evian Championship, currently known for sponsorship reasons as The Amundi Evian Championship, is a women's professional golf tournament in France, played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains. It was originally held in June, moved to July in 2003, and moved again to September in 2013. It returned to a July date in 2019. Founded in 1994 on the Ladies European Tour (LET) as the Evian Masters, it is one of two major championships on the LET. Not originally a major on the LPGA Tour, it became an LPGA co-sanctioned event in 2000, which included a significant increase in purse size. The Women's PGA Championship (branded as the KPMG Women's PGA Championship for sponsorship reasons) is a women's professional golf tournament. First held in 1955, it is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour. It is not recognized as a major by the Ladies European Tour, which does not recognize any of the three majors played in the United States. The Chevron Championship is a professional women's golf tournament. An event on the LPGA Tour, it is one of the tour's five major championships, and has traditionally been the first of the season since its elevation to major status in 1983. Founded in 1972 by singer and actress Dinah Shore and Colgate-Palmolive chairman David Foster, it was played at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California from its inception through 2022.
