Kelly Catlin
Kelly Catlin (November 3, 1995 – March 7, 2019) was an American professional racing cyclist who rode for UCI Women's Team . Catlin won gold medals in the women's team pursuit at the 2016, 2017, and 2018 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. She also won a silver medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Biography Catlin was born in St. Paul, Minnesota; she was a triplet, with a brother and sister. She earned a degree in mathematics and Chinese from the University of Minnesota, and was studying at Stanford University for a graduate degree in computational and mathematical engineering. In addition to her career as a professional road cyclist, Catlin was an artist and a violinist. Catlin died on March 7, 2019, at Stanford University following an episode of depression. According to her sister, she committed suicide months after suffering a concussion due to a cycling accident. María Luisa Calle
María Luisa Calle Williams (born October 3, 1968) is a Colombian professional racing cyclist. She was born in Medellín. In the 2004 Summer Olympics, she won a bronze medal in the cycling women's points race, the first Colombian to win a medal in cycling. She was forced to return the medal after positive test result for the banned stimulant heptaminol. The medal was returned, however, after the test result was proven incorrect. On October 16, 2011, at the 2011 Pan American Games' individual time trial, Calle, 43 years old at the time, won the gold medal with a time of 28:04.82. On 22 July 2015, it was disclosed that she had tested positive for GHRP2 at the 2015 Pan American Games and was subsequently banned for four years. Clemilda Fernandes Silva (born June 25, 1979) is a Brazilian cycle racer, who is currently suspended from the sport. Career Born in São Félix do Araguaia, Mato Grosso, Fernandes scored three consecutive wins in the Copa América de Ciclismo in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
