Cyberun
''Cyberun'' is a ZX Spectrum video game by Ultimate Play the Game and published by U.S. Gold in 1986. Although not part of the '' Jetman'' series, it has similarities to ''Jetpac'' in that the player must construct their spaceship from parts, then seek out resources and power-ups. Gameplay The player controls a spaceship trapped on a planet inhabited by hostile aliens. The goal is to upgrade the spaceship with parts scattered around the planet and mine a valuable element called "Cybernite". The atmosphere above ground is populated by flying aliens and clouds that drip acid, damaging the ship's shields. The ship requires fuel to fly, and once exhausted will bounce along the ground of the planet unable to climb. A similar enemy ship is also on the planet attempting to mine the Cybernite before the player. Fuel can be replenished by tankers on the planet surface, but damaged shields cannot be repaired. Ultimate Play The Game
Ashby Computers and Graphics Limited, trading as Ultimate Play the Game, was a British video game developer and publisher, founded in 1982, by ex-arcade game developers Tim and Chris Stamper. Ultimate released a series of successful games for the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, BBC Micro, MSX and Commodore 64 computers from 1983 until 1987. Shoot 'em ups (also known as shmups or STGs ) are a sub-genre of action games. ''Your Sinclair'', or ''YS'' as it was commonly abbreviated, was a commercially published and printed British computer magazine for the Sinclair range of computers, mainly the ZX Spectrum. It was in circulation between 1984 and 1993. History The magazine was launched in January 1984 as ''Your Spectrum'' by Sportscene Specialist Press. (Sportscene would later be renamed to Dennis Publishing in April 1987.) Initially, it was published bimonthly, changing to monthly in June 1984. With the January 1986 issue, the title was relaunched as ''Your Sinclair'', with the intention of expanding coverage of the QL into the main magazine (previously, ''QL User'' had been a pull-out section within the magazine), and any future computers produced by Sinclair. However, the magazine remained focused almost entirely on the ZX Spectrum games scene.
