Curtis Wilkerson
Curtis Vernon Wilkerson (born April 26, 1961), is an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball as a utility player for the Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Kansas City Royals from -. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 1980 Major League Baseball Draft by the Texas Rangers. Although he made his Major League debut as a late-season call-up in , was his official rookie season; he was named the Rangers' Rookie of the Year that season. On December 5, 1988, he was traded by the Texas Rangers with Paul Kilgus, Mitch Williams, Steve Wilson, and minor leaguers Luis Benitez and Pablo Delgado to the Chicago Cubs for Rafael Palmeiro, Jamie Moyer, and Drew Hall. The Lansing Lugnuts are a Minor League Baseball team of the Midwest League and the High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. They are located in Lansing, Michigan, and play their home games at Jackson Field (Lansing), Jackson Field. Andrew Clark "Drew" Hall is an American former Major League Baseball pitcher with the Chicago Cubs (–), Texas Rangers () and Montreal Expos (). He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but grew up in Ashland, Kentucky and attended Paul G. Blazer High School. He then attended Morehead State University. He is most famous for being involved in the Rafael Palmeiro and Mitch Williams trade in 1988. He was used primarily as a relief pitcher and spot starter.
