Curtis Manning (lacrosse)
Curtis Manning (born December 3, 1987) is a Canadian professional indoor lacrosse transition who plays for the Calgary Roughnecks in the National Lacrosse League, wearing #10. Since turning professional in 2010, he has played for the Roughnecks for his entire NLL career. Manning has represented Team Canada in field lacrosse, helping them win silver at the 2010 World Lacrosse Championship. Career Manning played for New Westminster Salmonbellies Jr. A of the BC Junior A Lacrosse League. With them in 2008, he was named the Inside Lacrosse Indoor Junior Defender of the Year and First Team All Canadian. Manning was drafted in the first round (sixth overall), in the 2008 NLL Entry Draft. He returned to play for Simon Fraser University for his senior year after being drafted. Calgary Roughnecks
The Calgary Roughnecks are a professional box lacrosse team based in Calgary, Alberta. They are members of the Western Division of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and play their home games on WestJet Field at Scotiabank Saddledome. The team name is derived from the roughnecks who work drilling rigs in Alberta's oil and gas industry. The team is affectionately known by fans as the ''Riggers''. The Roughnecks were founded in 2001, their first season was 2002, and they have qualified for the post-season every year from 2003 to 2016. They have won three division championships (2005, 2009, 2011) and have captured the NLL Cup as NLL champions three times. Douglas College
Douglas College is the largest public degree-granting college institution in British Columbia, Canada. Residency or postgraduate training is specifically a stage of graduate medical education. Western Lacrosse Association
The Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) is a men's Senior A box lacrosse sanctioned by the Canadian Lacrosse Association. It consists of seven teams, based in cities throughout southwestern British Columbia. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the right to compete against the Major Series Lacrosse champion for the Mann Cup every September. The championship is hosted alternately between Ontario and British Columbia every year. The calibre of lacrosse in the WLA is very high, as the majority of its players also play in the National Lacrosse League during the winter months, while the WLA schedule runs from mid-May to August. New Westminster Salmonbellies
The New Westminster Salmonbellies are a Men's Senior 'A' lacrosse team located in New Westminster, BC. Their home arena is Queen's Park Arena. They compete as part of the Western Lacrosse Association and have won the Mann Cup 24 times, most recently in 1991. The 1968–1972 teams were collectively inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2004. They won their first Mann Cup in 1915. Prior to 1932, they played as a field lacrosse team but in May 1932 box lacrosse was adopted for the senior league in British Columbia - and the Salmonbellies have been a box lacrosse team since then. The Salmonbellies have won the Mann Cup more than any other lacrosse team. They had won at least one Mann Cup in every decade since the inception of the trophy, before the 2000s. Andrew McBride (born December 9, 1982) is a Canadian professional box lacrosse player for the Calgary Roughnecks in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and Coquitlam Adanacs of the Western Lacrosse Association (WLA). Dave Pym
Dave Pym is a lacrosse coach, currently serving as the video coach and Western scout for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League. Pym previously served as the head coach of the Calgary Roughnecks. He was hired by the Roughnecks after a successful junior coaching career with the Burnaby Lakers of the BC Junior A Lacrosse League, where his team won multiple Minto Cups.
