Curtis Mann
Curtis Mann (June 22, 1815 - February 27, 1894) was an American politician and businessman. Born in the town of Hartford, New York, Mann worked in the grain trade business in addition to the lake and canal transportation business in Buffalo, New York. In 1856, he moved to the town of Summit, Wisconsin. Mann began his political career as a member of the Milwaukee Board of Trade. In 1868 and 1869, Mann served in the Wisconsin State Senate. In 1887, he moved to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin Oconomowoc ( ) is a city in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The name was derived from Coo-no-mo-wauk, the Potawatomi term for "waterfall." The population was 15,712 at the 2010 census. Hartford, New York
Hartford is a town centrally located in Washington County, New York, United States. It is part of the Glens Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town population was 2,279 at the 2000 census. History The Provincial Patent (1766) was granted to officer veterans of the French and Indian War. The patent included, within the "Town of Westfield," the present towns of Putnam, Fort Ann, Dresden part of Kingsbury, and Hartford. The Town of Hartford was set off from Westfield in 1793. The Town of Westfield represents the Vermont claim for part of this region, which was eventually settled by the eastern part of Charlotte County being transferred from New York. Many of the early settlers came from parts of New England. The land granted by the original patent was often sold to the new settlers. Oconomowoc ( ) is a city in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The name was derived from Coo-no-mo-wauk, the Potawatomi term for "waterfall." The population was 15,712 at the 2010 census. The city is partially adjacent to the Town of Oconomowoc and near the village of Oconomowoc Lake, Wisconsin.
