Curt Johnson is an American soccer executive who currently serves as General Manager and President of North Carolina Football Club, home of North Carolina FC of the USL Championship and the North Carolina Courage of the National Women’s Soccer League. A Raleigh native, Johnson graduated from Ravenscroft School and played collegiately at North Carolina State University, where he served as senior captain, helped the Wolfpack win the 1990 ACC Championship and graduated with a degree in communications studies. In 2013, Johnson was inducted into the North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame. ''Microsoft Minesweeper'' (formerly just ''Minesweeper'', and also known as ''Flower Field'') is a minesweeper-type video game created by Curt Johnson, originally for IBM's OS/2, that was ported to Microsoft Windows by Robert Donner, both Microsoft employees at the time. First officially released as part of the Microsoft Entertainment Pack 1 in 1990, it was first included in the standard install of Windows 3.1 in 1992, replacing Reversi from Windows 3.0. Curtis Wise Johnson (born June 22, 1948) is a former American football cornerback in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round of the 1970 NFL Draft. He played college football at Toledo and high school football for Waite. Professional career Johnson was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round of the 1970 NFL Draft. Curtis Edward Johnson (born February 16, 1985) is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League for the Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Rams. He was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Clark Atlanta University. Early years Johnson was born in Lauderhill, Florida and moved to Clay, New York. He attended Cicero-North Syracuse High School, where he was a two-time Section III All-state selection at defensive end. As a senior, he received All-Central New York honors and Post-Standard All-CNY honors at running back. College career Johnson accepted a football scholarship from Morrisville State College. Curtis G. Johnson (born September 29, 1952) is an American politician and a Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives representing District 68 since January 2005. In 2023, Johnson supported a resolution to expel three Democratic lawmakers from the legislature for violating decorum rules. The expulsion was widely characterized as unprecedented. Curtis Johnson, Jr. (born November 5, 1961) is an American football coach who is the head coach for the Houston Gamblers of the United States Football League (USFL). He was the head coach at Tulane University from 2012 to 2015. Coaching career Early years After graduating from the University of Idaho, Johnson first became a wide receivers coach at Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Idaho before taking his first college assistant job for Idaho in 1987. In the series of assistant jobs that followed, Johnson developed a reputation as an outstanding recruiter as well as position coach. At San Diego State, he recruited future Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk (like him, a native New Orleanian), as well as wide receiver Darnay Scott.
