Luther Curtis Knight, Jr. (born April 14, 1943) is a former NFL placekicker for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (1969–1973). Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Coast Guard Bears
The United States Coast Guard Academy's intercollegiate sports teams are called the Bears. They compete in NCAA Division III as members of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference.
