Curry Burns
Curry Burns (born February 12, 1981) is a former American football safety. College careers Burns played college football at the University of Louisville and appeared in 74 games with 29 starts. He was part of a defensive secondary that tallied 52 interceptions over three seasons to rank second nationally. He finished his career with 336 tackles, eight interceptions, 16 passes defended, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and four blocked kicks. Burns ranks 10th on the school's career-record list in tackles. He was an All- Conference USA selection as a senior, posting career-high 111 tackles. Professional career Drafted in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Texans, Curry played safety. The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. Elvis Kool Dumervil (born January 19, 1984) is a former American football defensive end and linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons. He played college football at Louisville, where he won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Ted Hendricks Award as a senior, and was selected by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. During his seven seasons with the Broncos, Dumervil was the NFL sacks leader in 2009. He was also named to two Pro Bowls and one first-team All-Pro. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster.
