Francisco José "Curro" Sánchez Rodríguez (born 3 January 1996) is a Spanish footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Burgos CF. Club career Born in La Palma del Condado, Huelva, Andalusia, Curro joined Sevilla FC's youth setup in 2007, aged 11. He made his debuts as a senior in the 2012–13 campaign, in Segunda División B. On 5 February 2015, Curro renewed his contract, signing a deal until 2017. He made his first team debut on 2 December, starting in a 3–0 away win against UD Logroñés, for the season's Copa del Rey. Curro made his La Liga debut on 17 April 2016, coming on as a second-half substitute for José Antonio Reyes in a 1–1 home draw against Deportivo de La Coruña. The 2019–20 Segunda División season, also known as LaLiga SmartBank for sponsorship reasons, was the 89th since its establishment. On 12 March 2020 after most of teams had played 31 games, the league was suspended for at least two weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. The league was suspended indefinitely on 23 March. The season recommenced on 10 June and was initially planned to be completed on 20 July. On 20 July 2020, the final day of the regular season, Deportivo La Coruña's match against Fuenlabrada was suspended indefinitely due to several Fuenlabrada players testing positive for COVID-19, therefore, delaying the official end of the season. José Antonio Reyes
José Antonio Reyes Calderón (; 1 September 1983 – 1 June 2019) was a Spanish professional footballer who played mainly as a left winger and also as a forward. He made his debut for Sevilla aged 16 and signed for English club Arsenal in January 2004, winning the Premier League and FA Cup in his spell in London. He returned to Spain in September 2006, on loan with Real Madrid, where he won La Liga. He then moved to Atlético Madrid, and won the Europa League twice. He also had a short loan spell in Portugal with Benfica, before re-joining Sevilla late in his career and winning the Europa League another three times, reaching a record individual total of five. He later had spells with Espanyol, Córdoba, Xinjiang Tianshan Leopard and Extremadura. Reyes earned 21 caps for Spain, and played at the 2006 World Cup. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game.
