Curiouser
''Curiouser'' is the second studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke. The first two singles, "Can't Shake It" and "Caught in the Crowd" received moderate success, while the third single " The Last Day on Earth" went on to become her first Australian top ten single, peaking at No. 3 on the ARIA singles chart. The album went on to become one of the most critically applauded albums of 2008 and is Miller-Heidke's first platinum-selling album. Background Miller-Heidke explains the album's title: " Mickey (Petralia) thought "''Curiouser''" was a noun, something that made you more curious," she said. "That's what made up my mind about the title. Wouldn't it be great if people listened to this album and it made them curiouser?". Kate Melina Miller-Heidke (; born 16 November 1981) is an Australian singer and songwriter. Although classically trained, she has generally followed a career in alternative pop music. She signed to Sony Australia, Epic in the US and RCA in the UK, but since 2014 has been an independent artist. Four of her solo studio albums have peaked in the top 10 of the ARIA Albums Chart, '' Curiouser'' (October 2008), ''Nightflight'' (April 2012), '' O Vertigo!'' (March 2014) and '' Child in Reverse'' (October 2020). Her most popular single, " The Last Day on Earth" (July 2009), reached No. 3 on the ARIA Singles Chart after being used in promos for TV soap, ''Neighbours'', earlier in that year. Keir Nuttall
Keir Francis Nuttall (born 1975) is a Brisbane-based guitarist-singer-songwriter. He is a founding mainstay member of the rock trio, Transport, which formed in 2001. He married Australian singer-songwriter and actor, Kate Miller-Heidke, in 2007. Since 2004 he has performed and recorded in her backing band. Nuttall's songs have been recorded by Miller-Heidke, including her singles, "Space They Cannot Touch" (March 2008), "Words" and other tracks on her debut album, ''Little Eve'' (both 2007). As Franky Walnut, Nuttall performs comic songs such as, "Where Have I Been All Your Life?" and "Three Word Review", both of which he recorded. "Caught in the Crowd" is a song by Australian singer songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke. It was released in February 2009 as the second single to be lifted from Miller-Heidke's second album ''Curiouser''. It was written by Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall. The song peaked at number 33 on the ARIA Charts and was certified gold. "The Last Day on Earth" is a song by Australian singer Kate Miller-Heidke, written by herself with her husband Keir Nuttall, who also produced the song alongside Mickey Petralia. It was released on 24 July 2009 as the third and final single from Miller-Heidke's second studio album, ''Curiouser'' (2008). Background and release The song, initially not intended for release as a single, was used in promo advertisements for Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', and in result it began selling digitally by peaking at number 2 on iTunes. Bridget Parker
Bridget "Didge" Parker is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera '' Neighbours'', played by Eloise Mignon. In 2007 the show was revamped to boost falling ratings in Australia. As part of this, the show's focus returned to family dynamics and the character of Bridget and her family were created and introduced. Bridget made her first on-screen appearance on 23 July 2007. She arrived in Erinsborough from Sydney with her father and mother, Steve and Miranda. During her time in ''Neighbours'', Bridget's storylines included being run over by Susan Kennedy, falling in love with Declan Napier, finding her birth mother and falling pregnant at seventeen.
