Cupid Deluxe
''Cupid Deluxe'' is the second album by Dev Hynes as Blood Orange, and is the follow-up to 2011's '' Coastal Grooves''. The album was released on 18 November 2013 in the UK, and was available worldwide a week earlier on iTunes on 12 November 2013. Between albums, Hynes has written and produced music for the likes of Solange, Sky Ferreira, MKS, and more. ''Cupid Deluxe'' shows a more expansive aural palate than the previous release ''Coastal Grooves'', while still retaining the pop sensibilities that Hynes has showcased since his days in Test Icicles and Lightspeed Champion. Chairlift (band)
Chairlift was an American synth-pop band. Caroline Polachek and Aaron Pfenning formed Chairlift in 2005 while living in Boulder, Colorado, and Patrick Wimberly joined them when they moved to Brooklyn in 2007. In 2008, Chairlift released their debut album '' Does You Inspire You''. Pfenning left the band in 2010, and as a duo, Polachek and Wimberly released two more albums: 2012's ''Something'' and 2016's ''Moth'' before announcing the end of Chairlift in December 2016. Caroline Elizabeth Polachek (born June 20, 1985) is an American singer, producer and songwriter. Raised in Connecticut, Polachek co-founded the indie pop band Chairlift while studying at the University of Colorado. David Longstreth
David Longstreth (born December 17, 1981) is an American singer and songwriter. He is the lead singer and guitarist for the band Dirty Projectors. Biography Longstreth was born in Southbury, Connecticut. Longstreth attended Yale University and majored in music shortly before dropping out halfway through his second year. He stated that "he rarely ventured out of his dorm room. He found himself completely absorbed in making his own music, though there wasn’t really anyone to play it for." Test Icicles were a short-lived rock band that formed in England, primarily influenced by post-hardcore, dance-punk and indie rock but containing musical elements from a variety of genres (notably dance, hip hop, crossover thrash, and punk). The band was formed in 2004 by Rory Attwell and Sam Mehran, who were later joined by Devonte Hynes. Hynes and Mehran were both 18 years old at the time of the band's inception.
