Culture (American Band)
Damien Zev Moyal (born September 25, 1976) is an American vocalist, lyricist, musician, songwriter and designer. Originally from Amstelveen, North Holland, Netherlands, he moved to the United States as a child and grew up in Miami, Florida where he notably fronted such hardcore punk, metallic hardcore and melodic hardcore bands as Shai Hulud, As Friends Rust, Morning Again, Culture, Bird of Ill Omen and Bridgeburne R. Moyal has been based in Ann Arbor, Michigan since 2006 and is the founding member of the semi-eponymously named gothic rock/post-punk band Damien Done. Moyal's early musical projects include the hardcore punk act U.S. Decline (1992–1993), the hardcore group Insist (1993), the metallic hardcore band Reach (1993–1994), and the groove metal project HandOverFist (1994). He next joined established vegan straight edge metallic hardcore band Culture, which he fronted from 1994 to 1995, then again from 1996 to 1998, recording music for such record labels as Uprising ...

As Friends Rust
As Friends Rust is an American melodic hardcore band based in Gainesville, Florida. The original line-up, which included vocalist Damien Moyal, guitarist Henry Olmino, bass guitarist Jeronimo Gomez and drummer Matthew Crum, formed in Davie, Florida in September 1996. After recording a demo tape but failing to secure a record deal, the band parted ways in February 1997. Following his move to Gainesville, Florida, Moyal reformed As Friends Rust in June 1997 with a new line-up (made-up mostly of then-members of his other band Culture), ultimately stabilizing the band with drummer Timothy Kirkpatrick, guitarists Gordon Tarpley and Joseph Simmons and bass guitarist and backing vocalist Kaleb Stewart. The band released its debut EP ''The Fists of Time'' via Good Life Recordings in 1998, prior to which Tarpley was replaced by Peter Bartsocas. Eulogy Recordings
Eulogy Recordings is an American independent record label established in early 1997 by hardcore guitarist John Wylie. The record company was founded in Cooper City, Florida but its headquarters moved around in various parts of Broward County, Florida. Since its buy-out in 2018, it has been based in Atlanta, Georgia. The label releases heavy metal and hardcore bands, some of which are straight edge. Among the label's better-known signings were Set Your Goals and New Found Glory. The first band signed to Eulogy Recordings in April 1997 was Bird of Ill Omen, which featured several members of Wylie's band Morning Again in its line-up. In 1999, Ian Rowan became a partner in Eulogy Recordings and later Hand of Hope Records. Eulogy Recordings also financed releases by its imprint label, Hand of Hope Records. Shai Hulud
Shai Hulud is an American metalcore band formed in Pompano Beach, Florida, in 1995, and later based in Poughkeepsie, New York. The band is named after the giant sandworms in Frank Herbert's novel ''Dune''. The two mainstay members of Shai Hulud are considered to be Matt Fox (guitar), who writes most of the band's musical and lyrical output, and Matt Fletcher (originally guitar, now bass), who assists in writing. Morning Again
Morning Again is an American metalcore band from Florida. They were known for their metallic sound as well as for their straight edge, vegan, anti-religious and anti-government ideals. The band was a "sister band" to Culture, often switching members after one had left the other. Several members went on to play in other bands such as As Friends Rust and Dead Blue Sky. The band was originally from Cooper City, Florida, but moved to Coral Springs in 1998 before breaking up later that year. After playing several reunion shows over the years, the band released a new EP in 2018. History John Wylie who had left Culture earlier that year wanted a band with more intense and personal views. Damien Done
Damien Done is an American post-punk/ gothic rock band from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Formed in Gainesville, Florida in 2002 as a semi-eponymously-named solo project by frontman Damien Moyal, the group has since been expanded to include other band members and co-songwriters. The current lineup features Moyal (vocals, guitar, synthesizer, drum programming), Laura Jane Leonard (bass guitar) and Tyler Kane (guitar, bass guitar). Damien Done originally formed under the name Rubbers and recorded its debut EP, ''Love Thongs'', in 2003. Scheduled for release through Belgian record label Good Life Recordings, the EP was ultimately shelved for thirteen years until it was picked up by German record label Demons Run Amok Entertainment, and released under the title ''Stay Black'' in 2016. Revelation Records is an independent record label focusing originally and primarily on hardcore punk. The label is known for releases by bands such as Youth of Today, Warzone, Sick of It All, Quicksand, Side By Side, Chain of Strength, Shelter, Judge, No for an Answer, Gorilla Biscuits, and End of a Year. Revelation, along with the bands it put out in the late 1980s, is usually credited with creating and cementing the " youth crew" sound as well as New York hardcore, which bridged the gap from the earlier bands of almost a decade before and helped carry the music through the early 1990s.
