Cui Peng (footballer)
Cui Peng (; born 31 May 1987) is a former Chinese international footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Cui Peng started his football career with Shandong Luneng in 2005 when he earned his first senior team appearance on 9 March 2005 in an AFC Champions League game against Yokohama Marinos. After several further appearances with the team, he would score his first goal for Shandong against Al-Ittihad in the second leg of a 2005 AFC Champions League game where he scored the second goal with a volley from 30 meters however Shandong lost the game 7–2. By the 2006 season, Cui had established himself as Shandong's first choice right midfielder and would help them win the league title and the Chinese FA Cup. On 8 July 2014, Cui was loaned out to China League One side Chengdu Tiancheng until 31 December 2014. Dalian () is a major sub-provincial port city in Liaoning province, People's Republic of China, and is Liaoning's second largest city (after the provincial capital Shenyang) and the third-most populous city of Northeast China. 2005 AFC Champions League
The 2005 AFC Champions League was the 24th edition of the top-level Asian club football tournament and the 3rd edition under the current AFC Champions League title. The championship was retained by the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad with a 5–3 aggregate victory over Al Ain from the United Arab Emirates. Following a 1–1 draw at the Tahnoun bin Mohammed Stadium in Al Ain in the first leg, Al-Ittihad recorded a 4–2 victory at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah to lift the trophy for the second consecutive season. 2007 Chinese Super League
The 2007 Chinese Super League (CSL 2007) season or the Kingway brewery Chinese Super League as it was known for sponsorship reasons was the fourth edition since its establishment, the 14th season of professional football as well as being the 46th top-tier league season in China. Starting on March 3, 2007 and ending on November 14, 2007 it saw Changchun Yatai clinch the league title for the first time in the last game of the season, while Xiamen Lanshi was relegated with two games to spare. Coincidentally, both of these teams were promoted in the previous season. The champions as well as the runner-up of the league would qualify for the AFC Champions League 2008 as was the same from the previous season. 2005 Chinese Super League
The 2005 Chinese Super League season was the second season of China's top-tier football competition. With no relegation the previous season, the league expanded from 12 to 14 clubs with the promotion of Shanghai Zobon and Wuhan Huanghelou. The season was scheduled to start on 5 March 2005, but was postponed until April due to a sponsorship problem and finished on 5 November with Dalian Shide, seven-time champions in the old first division, clinching their eighth title. Defending champions Shenzhen Jianlibao finished third from bottom, the second consecutive year in which the defending champions has done so. Football At The 2008 Summer Olympics – Men's Tournament
The men's football tournament at the 2008 Summer Olympics was held in Beijing and four other cities in the People's Republic of China from 7 to 23 August. Associations affiliated with FIFA were invited to enter their men's under-23 teams in regional qualifying competitions, from which 15 teams, plus the host nation, reached the final tournament. Men's teams were allowed to augment their squads with up to three players over the age of 23. For these Games, the men competed in a 16-team tournament. Preliminary matches commenced on 7 August, the day before the Games' opening ceremony. The teams were grouped into four pools of four teams each for a round-robin preliminary round. The top two teams in each pool advanced to an eight-team single-elimination bracket. The 2007 AFC Asian Cup was the 14th edition of the men's AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). China League One
The Chinese Football Association China League (), also known as China League One or Chinese Jia League (中甲联赛), is the second level of professional football in China. Above League One is the Chinese Super League. Prior to the formation of the Chinese Super League, Jia League was known as ''Jia B League''. The then top two levels of Chinese football league were known as ''Jia A League'' and ''Jia B League'' respectively. ''Jia A'' was rebranded as CSL and ''Jia B'' was rebranded as the current Jia League in 2004. Below the Jia League is the Yi League, following the Chinese Heavenly Stems naming convention of numbers.
