"Cuddly Toy" is a song by British band Roachford. It was the second single taken from their self-titled debut studio album, and was their first chart hit single. It was recorded at CBS Recording Studios, Whitfield Street, London over a three-day period between Saturday 19 March and Monday 21 March 1988. The drums were recorded in Studio 1, with the rest of the instruments recorded in Studio 2. The studio engineer was Richard Hollywood. The song was produced by Michael H. Brauer, Andrew Roachford and Fayney. It was mixed at a later date by Michael H. Brauer. Background Roachford hadn't initially intended to record or release "Cuddly Toy"; the lyrics and song were considered a band in-joke. Roachford's record label, however, had noticed the song and asked the band if they would record it for their upcoming album. He has also had a successful solo career. He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to music. "One More Try" is a song recorded by the British singer George Michael from his debut solo studio album, ''Faith'' (1987). It was released on 11 April 1988 as the album's fourth single by Columbia Records. The song hit number one on all of the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, the Hot Black Singles and the Hot Adult Contemporary charts. Background A ballad at almost six minutes in length, the song lyrically explores a young man's hesitancy to enter/revisit a new relationship because he had been emotionally hurt so many times previously. "Love Won't Wait" is a song by English singer Gary Barlow from his debut studio album, '' Open Road'' (1997). It was released as the second single from the album on 24 April 1997 by BMG and RCA Records. The song was written by Madonna and Shep Pettibone, and was an unreleased demo from her '' Bedtime Stories'' (1994) studio sessions. Barlow came by the demo in 1997, while looking to record more songs for ''Open Road''. He changed the lyrics to represent a male point of view rather than Madonna's, and recorded the track with Stephen Lipson as producer. Barlow was apprehensive about releasing the track, but due to contractual obligations he had to release it. The song became Barlow's second consecutive number-one release on the UK Singles Chart, following " Forever Love", and was certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
