Celso Golmayo y Zúpide (24 April 1820, in Logroño, Spain – 1 April 1898, in Havana) was a Spanish–Cuban chess master. He had been generally accepted as Cuban champion since his 1862 match defeat of Félix Sicre. He took part in the famous Paris 1867 tournament where he tied for 7–8th ( Ignatz von Kolisch won). Holguín () is a municipality and city in Cuba, and the capital of Province of Holguín. After Havana, Santiago de Cuba, and Camagüey, it is the fourth largest city in Cuba. Guillermo Estévez Morales (born 16 October 1947) is a Cuban chess International Master (IM) (1972), Cuban Chess Championship winner (1975). Biography In the early 1970s Guillermo Estévez Morales was one of the leading Cuban chess players. He won the Cuban Chess Championship in 1972. In 1973 in Leningrad Guillermo Estévez Morales participated in the World Chess Championship Interzonal Tournament where ranked in 17th place. Santa Clara is the capital city of the Cuban province of Villa Clara Province, Villa Clara. It is centrally located in the province and Cuba. Cienfuegos (), capital of Cienfuegos Province, is a city on the southern coast of Cuba. It is located about from Havana and has a population of 150,000. Matanzas
Matanzas (Cuban ) is the capital of the Cuban province of Matanzas.
