Crystal Methyd (born 16 April 1991) is the stage name of Cody D. Harness, an American drag performer who competed on the twelfth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. Her name refers to crystal meth. Early life and education Harness was born on April 16th, 1991, in San Jose, California, to a Mexican mother and American father. At age 5, Harness's family moved to Springfield, Missouri to be closer to his dad’s parents, and is where he became an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Missouri State University, and first performed in drag at Springfield PrideFest in 2015. He has recalled, "I was practicing my makeup in my room for about a month before I performed. I had a lot of fun, and people told me I looked different, and I liked that." RuPaul's DragCon LA
RuPaul's DragCon LA is an annual expo of drag culture held in Los Angeles billed as a "convention that celebrates 'the art of drag, queer culture and self-expression for all'", which debuted in 2015. Its sister event is RuPaul's DragCon NYC started in 2017, and is considered the "world's largest celebration of drag culture." The event is an outgrowth of the internationally successful ''RuPaul's Drag Race'', which generated '' Drag Race Thailand'', ''RuPaul's Drag Race UK'', ''RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars,'' and Chile's ''The Switch Drag Race''. The ''Iowa State Daily'' is an independent student newspaper serving Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, that is published in print and online. It was founded in 1890, and is largely funded by advertising revenues. The Iowa State University Student Government helps pay for its distribution on campus.
