Crusades
The Crusades were a series of religious wars initiated, supported, and sometimes directed by the Latin Church in the medieval period. The best known of these Crusades are those to the Holy Land in the period between 1095 and 1291 that were intended to recover Holy Land, Jerusalem and its surrounding area from Muslim conquests, Islamic rule. Beginning with the First Crusade, which resulted in the recovery of Jerusalem in 1099, dozens of Crusades were fought, providing a focal point of European history for centuries. In 1095, Pope Pope Urban II, Urban II proclaimed the First Crusade at the Council of Clermont. Stardust Crusaders
is the third story arc of the manga series '' JoJo's Bizarre Adventure'' written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. The arc was serialized for a little over 3 years. It was serialized in '' Weekly Shōnen Jump'' from March 27, 1989 to April 14, 1992 for 152 chapters, which were later collected into 16 '' tankōbon'' volumes. In its original publication, it was known as ''JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3 Jotaro Kujo: Heritage for the Future''. The arc was preceded by '' Battle Tendency'' and followed by '' Diamond Is Unbreakable''. In 2012, ''Stardust Crusaders'' was digitally colored and released as digital downloads for smartphones and tablet computers. A ten-volume hardcover re-release under the title ''JoJonium'' was published in 2014 and 2015.
