Crowsnest Pass Timberwolves
The Crowsnest Pass Timberwolves were a Junior 'A' ice hockey team in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Based out of the town of Blairmore, Alberta and playing at the Coleman Complex in Coleman, the team represented the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass. The Timberwolves were founded in 1998 as an expansion team. They lasted only six seasons in the Crowsnest Pass, however, before taking a leave of absence in 2004-05 before relocating to Okotoks to become the Okotoks Oilers. The Timberwolves were the second team to represent the region, as The Pass Red Devils existed from 1972 to 1976. Coleman, Alberta
Coleman is a community in the Rocky Mountains within the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass in southwest Alberta, Canada. It was formerly incorporated as a town prior to 1979 when it amalgamated with four other municipalities to form Crowsnest Pass. Coleman is located in Census Division No. 15 and in the riding of Macleod. It is served by Highway 3 (Crowsnest Highway) and the Canadian Pacific Railway. History In 1903, a new townsite was laid out a few kilometres west of Blairmore, to service a new coal mine operated by the International Coal and Coke Company. Initial names of Paulson's Camp or McGillivray Hill were rejected by the post office, settling on Coleman (after the mother's maiden name of the president and mine owner A. C. Devin Setoguchi (born January 1, 1987) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger. He had most recently played under contract for Adler Mannheim in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Setoguchi is half- Yonsei (fourth-generation) Japanese Canadian and a Sports California/Sharks Playoff Live TV Analyst. He was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the first round, eighth overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and has also played with the Minnesota Wild, Winnipeg Jets, and Calgary Flames. Rick Rypien
Richard Joseph Rypien (May 16, 1984 – August 15, 2011) was a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who spent parts of six seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Vancouver Canucks. After a major junior career of four years with the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League (WHL), he was signed to a professional contract by the minor league Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2005. The following season, he signed with the Canucks. He spent six years with the organization, splitting time between the Canucks and Moose, their AHL affiliate. A fourth-line player in the NHL, he was known for his hitting and fighting abilities, though his size was not typical of an enforcer. Jeremy Colliton (born January 13, 1985) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is currently serving as head coach of the Abbotsford Canucks of the American Hockey League (AHL). Colliton is a former head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL).
