Claire Lynch
Claire Lynch (born February 20, 1954) is an American bluegrass musician, singer, songwriter, and producer. She is a three-time winner of the International Bluegrass Music Association's Female Vocalist of the Year honors. She is considered one of the two best female voices in bluegrass, a recognition she shares with Dale Ann Bradley. Early life Lynch moved to Huntsville, Alabama from Kingston, New York, when she was 12 years old. She grew up in a musical family, with her mother playing the piano and her father singing. She had two sisters with whom she would sing, including doing trios at church. In high school, she spent time writing and recording songs. Career Lynch's musical career transitioned during college when she became interested in bluegrass music. Missy Raines (born April 6, 1962) is an American bassist, singer, teacher, and songwriter. She has won 10 International Bluegrass Music Awards for Bass Player of the Year. Missy Raines was the first woman to win IBMA Bass Player of the Year award. She won 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2019, 2020, and 2021. In 1998 Missy Raines' first solo album "My Place in the Sun" (self released) was named IBMA Instrumental Recording of the Year. Jim Hurst
Jim Hurst is an American bluegrass and country guitarist. He is known primarily as an instrumentalist but has also been credited for vocals with numerous other artists as well as his solo career. Hurst has performed with musicians that include Holly Dunn, Trisha Yearwood, Sara Evans, and Missy Raines. He has also won numerous awards for his work. Career Hurst began his career with playing country music in the 1980s and 90s. He was the guitarist for Holly Dunn and the Rio Band where he played both nationally and internationally. He toured with Trisha Yearwood where he played acoustic and electric guitar. Hurst joined Claire Lynch and the Front Porch String Band in 1995. Larry Lynch (born c. 1950) is a former drummer for the Greg Kihn Band. They had a #2 US hit with "Jeopardy" in 1983 and a #15 hit with "The Breakup Song (They Don't Write 'Em)". After leaving the Greg Kihn band, "Larry Lynch and MOB (Members Of the Band)", gigged throughout the East San Francisco Bay area, teaming up with Robbie Dunbar, the guitarist from San Francisco's "Earthquake".
