Crosshaven RFC
Crosshaven RFC (Rugby Union Football Club) was founded on 1 October 1972 and is based in Crosshaven, County Cork, Ireland. The founding members were Michael Dempsey, chairman, Ted Murphy, Pres., Billy McCarthy Sec., and Tom O' Kelly, Treas, and P.R.O. The club's senior team plays in the Munster Junior League Division 1. Crosshaven R.F.C. has three pitches, floodlights, parking, showers, changing rooms and a gym, located at Myrtleville Cross in Crosshaven. In the 2010/2011 season, Crosshaven won the All-Ireland Junior Cup as the first team from Munster to do so. Crosshaven RFC has underage teams ranging from under 8's to under 18's. They then have Junior 1 and Junior 2 teams. Crosshaven () is a village in County Cork, Ireland. It is located in lower Cork Harbour at the mouth of the River Owenabue, across from Currabinny Wood. Originally a fishing village, from the 19th century, the economy of the area became more reliant on a growing tourism industry. Name The modern Irish name for Crosshaven village is ''Bun an Tábhairne''. While some sources link the word ''tábhairne'' to the English word "tavern", other sources suggest that it is a corruption of ''"tSabhairne"'' a grammatical form of the word "Sabhrann" the name of a local river. ''Bun'' refers to "river mouth" when in reference to placenames. Therefore, the name is potentially translated to ''"The Mouth of the River Sabhrann"''. Leicester Tigers
Leicester Tigers (officially Leicester Football Club) are a professional rugby union club based in Leicester, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby. The club was founded in 1880 and since 1892 plays its home matches at Mattioli Woods Welford Road in the south of the city. The club has been known by the nickname Tigers since at least 1885. Frank Murphy (rugby Player)
Frank Murphy (born 2 December 1983) is a former professional rugby union player from Ireland who works as a referee for the Irish Rugby Football Union. He primarily played as a scrum-half. Originally from Cork, Murphy played for his native province of Munster before moving to the English side Leicester Tigers, with whom he won a Premiership title, and then finished his career with Connacht, another Irish province, making over 100 appearances for the side. Murphy began refereeing in the All-Ireland League in 2015, progressing to referee in the British and Irish Cup later that year. He began refereeing at international level in 2016, and has taken charge of games in the European Nations Cup. In November 2016, Murphy took charge of his first Pro12 game, and has since gone on to referee in the Challenge Cup at European level.
